Galapagos Travel Requirements as of November 23, 2022

 

CELEBRITY CRUISES SAILING REQUIREMENTS TO SAIL

As of November 23, 2022, all guests are welcome to cruise with us, regardless of vaccination status. Guests will no longer be required to provide proof of pre-departure testing on 7-, 10-, and 11- Night Cruise Packages, as well as our 16-Night Cruise Package including Peru.

 

Galapagos-specific Travel Requirements​ 

Travel Insurance with medical and evacuation coverage for Galapagos is a government requirement and guests may be asked to show printed or digital proof upon arrival in Baltra.  CruiseCare Travel Protection provides the necessary coverage.

 

Ecuador-specific  Country Travel Requirements​

A Traveler’s Health Declaration Form must be presented to the airline at time of boarding. This questionnaire will need to be filled out completely prior to flying into Quito, Ecuador. Copies will be available at the airport prior to your departure for your convenience. This form can be downloaded here.

Guests that do not meet the testing and health screening policy requirements will be denied boarding.  

 

ADDITIONAL TRAVEL INFORMATION

 

QUITO

As of December 9, 2022, the government of Ecudor has declared the mandatory use of masks in the following: 

  • closed and poorly ventilated spaces 
  • hospitals and medical centers

Arrival to Quito Airport​ 

  • Masks are recommended
  • Physical distancing, use of alcohol gel, constant hand washing and biosecurity measures is recommended 
  • Package Guests - If you have independent air booked, please be sure to provide your flight information to Galapagosflightinfo@celebrity.com to coordinate your transfers, information must be submitted no later than two weeks prior to sailing.

 

Arrival to Hotel in Quito​ for Package Guests​ 

  • Guests are recommended to stay with their group during the City Tour.

 

BALTRA

Arrival in Baltra​ 

  • Check-in for your cruise will be completed on board.

 

Package Guests

  • Package guests will arrive via exclusive flight. 

 

Non-Package Guests

  • At the airport in Quito or Guayaquil guests are required to obtain their Transit control Card (TCT) prior to check-in for your commercial flight to Galapagos.

 

While On Board

  • Crew onboard will be vaccinated.
  • Currently, face masks are optional onboard Celebrity ships for all guests.

 

While Ashore​ 

  • Masks are optional while visiting the islands.

 

Returning to Quito​ 

  • Post-cruise day trips currently are suspended.

 

Guests that do not meet the testing and health screening policy requirements will be denied boarding.
